Dexter Alumni Association
President Currently Vacant Vice-President Brian Knowlton, class of 1974 Secretary/Treasurer Patti (Skinner) Grillo, class of 1971 Historian Donna (Thomas) Hodgkins, class of 1960 Any person attending N.H. Fay or Dexter Regional High School is automatically a member of The Dexter Alumni Association. The annual dues for each member are $5.00. The Association holds it annual luncheon and business meeting on the second Saturday in August. At the meeting, we honor the oldest and youngest members present and the person that traveled the farthest to attend. The Sands trophy is awarded to the class with the largest number of members present. We do a roll call of the classes and elect officers for the following year. Next year's date is August 8, 2009. For the past four years, the banquet was held right at the High School. This worked out very well so we are having it at the High School again next year. The cost is $15.00 for an alumni. Registration is at 11:00, lunch will start at noon. As that date approaches, we will post information in The Eastern Gazette and on SAD46.org. The Association administers three scholarships given to graduating seniors of Dexter Regional High School, the General Alumni Scholarship, the Effie Guptil Scholarship, and The Mary C. Smart Scholarship. The Mary C. Smart Scholarship is given to a graduating senior that is planning to study in an arts program. We are continually raising money so that we may continue giving these scholarships. Please contact any of the officers of the Association with questions, comments or ideas. You may contact Brian Knowlton at 924-3222 or brian_knowlton@hotmail.com
