Parent Resources

You are your child's first and most important teacher.

Parents are valued partners in SAD # 46, where we believe that successful learning is achieved through strong connections with parents and all sectors of our community.

Parent Involvement / Volunteerism

Our parents help to ensure the highest levels of student learning through strong partnerships and collective accountability. The excellence in our school system is due, in large part, to the involvement of our parents and their volunteer efforts. By sharing their time, talents and resources as members of PTO's and mentors to students at-risk our parents strengthen the SAD # 46 team.

Parents as Partners in Our Schools

Reading to children, serving as guest speakers, assisting with the PTO/PTF and on school based improvement committees are a few of the many volunteer opportunities that await parents in SAD # 46.

In addition to the resources found on this site, parents are encouraged to contact their child's teachers and school office for more information and partner opportunities.

Things you can do at home to help your child succeed

The PBS web site Misunderstood Minds has some great tips for working with your child at home if he/she is struggling in math, reading, or writing.
