Welcome to the home page of the Tiger Wellness Team!

The Tiger Wellness Team is dedicated to learning about issues related to health promotion, health education and the maintenance of a healthy learning environment and seeks to promote and model healthier eating, engaging in life-long physical activity, and avoiding the use of tobacco products.

The wellness team intends to facilitate the CSHP Program and through its goals strengthen the health education in all areas for the school and community.

Maine Schoolsite Health Promotion Conference

The Tiger Wellness Team attended  the 2008 Maine Schoolsite Health Promotion Conference, which is a unique professional development experience that provides a forum for representatives of all segments of a school or school administrative unit to discuss and respond to issues related to health promotion, health education and the maintenance of a healthy learning environment as part of coordinated school health programs.  We attended workshops that provide information for enhancing school climate, improving student health and contributing to personal well-being.  Our trip to the conference this year is once again made possible by a grant from the Piscataquis Public Health Council (PPHC).
