One of the presenters we saw at the Wellness Conference in Sugarloaf was Dr. John Bagnulo, who is a nutritionist from New Vineyard, Maine who has taught at the University of Maine at Farmington and climbed Mount Everest.  Click here for more about Dr. Bagnulo.

Besides being a dynamic speaker, Dr. Bagnulo was very knowledgeable about how we humans get and process nutrients from our food, and the importance of eating the right foods.  Here is a YouTube presentation by Dr. Bagnulo talking about the importance of eating food that is locally grown whenever possible (a list of farm stands in our area is below this link).
